Comments from the Art World
Re: Ronald Gosses; "Your passion in creating sculptures on canvas, and other 3-Dimensional works, is wonderful and we encourage you to continue your groundbreaking work. I commend you, your talent, and your drive in the art world. Your dedication to your field is palpable and I laud your persistence and your faith in the art as a practice".
Nicole Gallo, Curator of Agnes Gund Collection, NYC
"Ronald Gosses is a three dimensional abstractionist who begins his textural masterpieces with a two dimensional surface. Using numerous types of mediums and various processes, he creates a concave layer of ridges and valleys that demand a closer observation from his spectators than traditional abstract expressionists."
Robert Berry, Curator, NYC
Re: Ronald Gosses: "[His] excellent works are vigorous, poetic and overall effective".
Ivan Karp, Curator Owner
OK Harris Gallery, NYC
"Nuanced tones applied in energetic swirls of impasto create depth and mystery and impart the paradox of an artist to whom everything, until recently, appeared flat… From the image of light glimmering through deep water to the transformation of music into visual form, Gosses's paintings are elegant and sophisticated."
Jerry Sedley, Art Critic
New Art International 2010
